There are 12 original castles remaining in Japan. Among them, Inuyama castle is the oldest, and one of the 5 National Treasure in Japan. Inuyama castle was founded in 1537 by Nobuyasu Oda who is uncle of Nobunaga Oda. Located in Inuyama, Aichi prefecture which is a part of the Chubu region.
The Inuyama castle is 19m and it is smaller than other castles, but it’s so historic and you may be surprised by the details of castle structure.
The right photo is known as a photo spot, and you can see the beautiful view of the castle town and the Kiso River from the top floor. There are stairs inside of the castle and it’s really steep and narrow, so watch out if you are trying to climb up.
