It is a taro and meat soup with konnyaku and green onion are the typical ingredients.
People enjoy gathering and eating Imoni with family and friends during the fall season.
Also, they hold Japan’s biggest Imoni festival every September.
2. Fruit Picking
Fruit picking is very popular since there are many seasonal fruits in the fall.
Yamagata is one of the best places where you can eat many kinds of seasonal fruits.
Typically, grapes, la france (pears), and apples are popular in the fall season.
You should try and enjoy picking and eating seasonal fruits that are only for the fall season.
3. Newly harvested rice
Yamagata is one of the largest harvest rice in Japan and they are very famous for its taste and brand. Fall is the time to harvest and the best time to eat rice.
